We are the Choir based in Woburn Sands (Bedfordshire) and drawing members from the surrounding area. The choir is open to everybody and we do not ‘audition’ for a place in the choir. We have been running for ten years and have a varied repertoire and put on a number of concerts each year. We often make donations from our concert proceedings to local charities. We meet in three ‘terms’ (similar to school terms and with a half-term break) on a Friday evening between 7 and 9 pm. We are easy to find, being located in the Ellen Pettit Memorial Hall on the High Street. See ‘Contact Us’ for a map.
Meet our wonderful Musical Director
Karen Clegg … we pose a quick-fire Q&A to find out what makes Karen ‘tick’!
Like all organisations the Choir has to protect its members personal information and comply with the GDPR regulations. We have put in place all the necessary steps to do this and you can find the details on the special page Privacy Notice click here.
The choir has been chosen to benefit from the next round of the Coop
Community Fund. Coop members will be able to choose Sands Singers as their local cause by going on the website and following the links to the community fund. (Members are usually sent an email to remind them to do this anyway) If you are not already a member, you can become one by going to https://membership coop.co.uk/new-registration The more members who choose us, the more we benefit, so please join, choose us and use your coop card every time you shop.
The Funding round will open on 27 October 2019 and will last a year.
Please tell friends and family so we can make the most of this opportunity.
